Friends, great news! There are two new maps made available on the Internets and they are official and wonderful! Look here at official announcements of Massive:

AVAILABLE NOW – ARIZONA AND VALLEY MAPS
Get ready to roll out! Two of the winning maps from the official World in Conflict map contest, Arizona and Valley, are now finally officially released! The two maps, made by Slepnyrl and Gozeus respectively, charmed the World in Conflict team with a well-balanced Tug of War map and a visually stunning DX10 map in the contest.

We’re very proud to finally see these maps playable on the official World in Conflict servers. The maps can be downloaded when you log on to Massgate, so go grab them and play! The maps will also be available as standalone downloads from our Download section.

Please note that you might have to delete older versions of the maps if you’ve downloaded previous iterations. The map files can be found in My Documents\World in Conflict\Downloaded\maps.

I would think that they have implement cheats for Massive players since they always lose when play online, but that will not matter much – they are too bad even CHEATS won’t work! I will rock all of their butts straight off!

WicEd 1.2 Out now!

At last! It is finally time to load up new WicEd 1.2 and make excellented maps! The news was made available on Massgate propaganda last yesterday and here is direct quote:

Map makers rejoice! The new updated map-making tool is here with lots of new features to make your maps even better.

The new WicEd update adds lots of new features to the tool, including new editors for the bloom and mood systems, new sleeker interface solutions and a brand new resolution editor. For a full list of all the new features, see this wiki article!

To get the latest WicEd version and to get on with your maps, jump straight into our Download section! There is also an updated version of the mod kit.

WicEd 1.2 totally coming soon

Almost one week ago, boys and girls at Massive said WicEd 1.2 would be coming out… and it totally is! I don’t have exact detail on when, but I must say I really like what they are doing with it. I like making maps myself and play “Destroy America” games in basement, so I know what I talk about! Just look at great list of super features!

• Road intersection system added
• Detail texture override edit tool (realtime detail texture painting)
• Splatting mask edit tool (you no longer have to use external bitmap editor)
• Deploy mask editor added to gameplay map (you no longer have to use external bitmap editor)
• New terrain cut out tool added (paint holes in the ground in realtime)
• New editor for the mood system (make weather change depending on destruction)
• New editor for the bloom system (make your own hollywood style post filters)
• Resolution editor added (concentrate texture detail where it matters most)
• Ability to visualize the real ingame path maps (see how the pathfinding will actually work)

OH YES! I am very happy! Hopefully it won’t take too long now!

Activision to sell Massive?

Hello friends! Now that summer is almost over and work has once again begins it is time to do proper spy work, and OH DO I HAVE STORY! Recent discovery of Activision Blizzard merger has a strange side to it, and I think that there is something going on in Massive office. Having read through document and emails I have a good reason to think Activision is going to sell Massive! That’s right!

Now we may wonder why this is! My first reaction was that they were discovering my work in the company, and that they think it was security hazard! But not so! I still haven’t found out, because there are many conflicting reports (some reports claim it’s because the Swedes eat too much ham).

But this is not very interesting. The thing I AM concerned about is WHO WILL BUY MASSIVE? I have great hopes that we will finally become a complete Russian company. That would be wonderful! I think there are plenty of rich oil baron Russian guys who could afford it! So here is an open letter to all Russian billionaire (in English, for your sake):

Hello dear billionaire!

My name is Dimtri Gorbenko and I am Russian.

I think you should buy Massive.

If you do, I will see to it that staff will be very obedient.

Hello great readers! I am happy to declare summer! Summer is a great time to spend indoors playing your favorite videogame and also relax! For some of you in WIC community, it will be an even greater summer I expect. Just look! Here are some winners from WIC Map Making Competition!

Myself, I will go back to Russia to celebrate the summer with gaming, vodka and dance! So until we see you again I hope you will all behave!

Strange things! and Superfriends #4

I had strange dream tonight! I dreamt I was playing WIC on my uber PC and was totally pwning everyone when SUDDENLY (!) my great room was breach by soldiers saying I was doing illegal! I asked them what was exactly illegal about it and they said I had posted some secret on forum that they would punish me for!

Now I am not sure it really was dream, for I see my post was actually edited by some strange admin on Massgate. I figure something fish is going on behind scenes of Massive…

Oh, and here is #4 of Superfriends at War! I dont even want to know what kind of substance was involved in making of it…

WIC Soviet Assault Q&A and Superfriends!

Okay weekend is over and glorious Russia beat the Greek team in Europe Cup of Soccer Football! It is a wonderful time to be Russian and I can safely say (I have sources) that Russia will IN FACT beat the silly Swedes on Wednesday! Football is GREAT when you WIN!

In other win news, Massive community had lots of questions and Massive answered! You can see answers of these questions in one thread that is found in Massgate console forums here!

Also, my dear anonymys friend has sent one more Superfriends comic that is not very enjoyable. I think he is losing touch and imbalancing the American. Mister America is obvious owerpowered and I do not see the real enjoyment of it. You can do BETTER MY FRIEND!
