
Almost one week ago, boys and girls at Massive said WicEd 1.2 would be coming out… and it totally is! I don’t have exact detail on when, but I must say I really like what they are doing with it. I like making maps myself and play “Destroy America” games in basement, so I know what I talk about! Just look at great list of super features!
• Road intersection system added
• Detail texture override edit tool (realtime detail texture painting)
• Splatting mask edit tool (you no longer have to use external bitmap editor)
• Deploy mask editor added to gameplay map (you no longer have to use external bitmap editor)
• New terrain cut out tool added (paint holes in the ground in realtime)
• New editor for the mood system (make weather change depending on destruction)
• New editor for the bloom system (make your own hollywood style post filters)
• Resolution editor added (concentrate texture detail where it matters most)
• Ability to visualize the real ingame path maps (see how the pathfinding will actually work)
OH YES! I am very happy! Hopefully it won’t take too long now!
