My name is David Polfeldt, and I am the VP of the Studio as well the Director of Marketing.
2. Why Massive work and not carpenter? Carpenter PROUD work!
I am a lousy carpenter, so the choice was pretty easy for me. If I could have any job – any job at all – I’d write books. That way I would never have to meet anybody, which sounds like a blessing, don’t you think?
3. Whats your favorite lunch?
Do you count Swedish candy as lunch? Salt lakrits is great stuff. Other than that, hm, well, sushi is great, and so is a nice piece of meat.
4. Favorite Soviet unit in WIC??
I’m not a gear-head, so I really don’t know which unit is which, at least not by their military term. In the Alpha, I loved the Soviet Heavy Artillery, it was so good and lethal! In the Beta they nerfed it though, so I’d vote for the Shilka now.
5. Have you met famous actor Oleg Taktarov? Why is he not in GAME?
I have not had the pleasure to meet Mr Taktarov, unfortunately. As to why he is not in the game you should ask the Game Designers. They have also forgotten to include Tom Selleck, by the way.
6. Whats yur favorite Oleg Taktarov movie?
There are many great films with Oleg Taktarov, but I’d have to say that “Zovi menya Dzhinn” from 2005 outshines all the others.
7. Why should I buy 2 copies of World in Conflict?
If you have two copies you can give one away to your best friend as a gift and that way you can become (with a lot of practice) the unbeatable 2-man team.

Martin Jansén – MAGICIAN!!
1. Who you are and your job please?
My name is Martin Jansén and I work as a game designer at Massive. My main responsibilities are the scripting and balancing of units, tactical aid and special abilities in the game.
2. Why Massive work and not carpenter? Carpenter PROUD work!
Well, I was never very good at woodwork in school – manipulating things on the computer was always easier and more enjoyable for me. I think I’d have a hard time creating devastating artillery barrages and realistic depictions of modern military hardware as a carpenter.
3. Whats your favorite lunch?
I often have a light sallad. Apart from that, probably some kind of pasta, or a simple burger.
4. Favorite Soviet unit in WIC??
Hm.. tough one. Most people, including myself, really like the 2S7 “Pion”, one of the largest self-propelled artillery guns ever, equipped with an amazingly powerful 203mm artillery gun. Another of my favorites is the venerable ZSU-23-4 “Shilka”, since it is useful both as air defense and as anti-infantry support, and relatively inexpensive to boot. Besides, it makes a really awesome sound when firing all four 23mm barrels!
5. Have you met famous actor Oleg Taktarov? Why is he not in GAME?
No, I have not met him. I’m not sure why our writer didn’t see fit to include him – you’d have to ask him that question, I’m afraid.
6. Whats yur favorite Oleg Taktarov movie?
Um.. I don’t really know, actually. I, uh, like all of them!
7. Why should I buy 2 copies of World in Conflict???
It’s always good to have a spare in case you lose the first one! J Oh, and you could have one copy at work and one at home! You don’t ever want to find yourself unable to play just one more round of intense WiC multiplayer action.

My name is Mathias Karlson and I am one of the Game Designers, currently working on World in Conflict, at Massive.

Although I really appreciate a good screw, I still prefer the creation of virtual worlds.

A nice big sushi…devoured in the sun on the balcony at the office.

The USSR Medium Anti-Air unit (ZSU-23-4 “Shilka”) is really sweet!
5. Have you met famous actor Oleg Taktarov? Why is he not in GAME?
Unfortunately I have not been blessed with the opportunity to meet Mr. Taktarov. But I am sure he would have taken our game to new unimagined levels of awesomeness…if the chance had been given.
6. Whats yur favorite Oleg Taktarov movie?
I would have to say “Bad Boys II” (the only one I have seen), but if “Absolute Force” is half as kick-ass as the name I am guessing it would blow me away.
7. Why should I buy 2 copies of World in Conflict???
Because it will be the most “eye-popping, super immersive, fast paced and visceral destruction sandbox” available to date.
